Robin Ford 6th Dan

He has been involved in the martial arts since 1985, starting in his home town of Ryde on the Isle of Wight originally with shotokan Karate. After gaining his 1st Dan he decided he wanted to do something different and started training in Taekwondo. There were no Taekwondo schools on the Isle of wight at that time so he started travelling the two hour journey to crawley twice a week and the 5 hour journey to Gravesend in Kent on a Saturday morning. In 1995 he relocated to Gillingham in Kent and a year later opened his first Taekwondo school. In October 1998 he opened a full time Taekwondo centre in Gillingham which went on to win the Shell live wire best new business award and produced over 35 Black Belts. The youngest being six years old.

 

In 2008 he relocated to Lincolnshire to take some time out to concentrate on his own training and breeding Wolf dogs. In 2009 he join the International Ch'ang Hon Taekwondo Federation and also opened Lone Wolf Taekwondo in boston Lincolnshire. Mr Ford has travelled to Canada to train under the president of the ICTF Master Cariati 8th Dan and has attended seminars here in the UK. He has also trained in Canada with the vice president of the ICTF Master Stanley 8th Dan. Both masters have close ties to and trained extensively with the Founder of Taekwondo General Choi Hon Hi 9th Dan 

 

On 27th of Novmeber Mr Ford had the honour to test under Master Cariati VIII Dan on his visit to the UK and was promoted to 6th Degree Black Belt
